Travel is more than just sightseeing, it means to be out of the routine, experience new sensations, discover unique places, open our minds and also travel gives us more capacity to understand certain aspects of daily life.

Before embarking on our trip and when we organize the suitcase, we should be prepared in order to solve any unforeseen event that may arise, because it can happen even to the most cautious person.

Losing your passport can happen to you also and to avoid it I am gonna give you these tips:

1) Please have a photocopy of your passport and documents that you consider relevant to you. I recommend you to have digital copies in your email so you can access them quickly and easily.

2) Try not to bring your passport with you all the time. Leave it in the hotel or in some other safe place and carry a photocopy with you just in case you need it.

But if you lose your passport even if you’ve followed the instructions, take a deep breath and remember that you can do this:

1) Make a complaint at a police station. When you follow this procedure you avoid that someone make improper use of your passport.

2) Go to the consular office or embassy nearest your country. In the consulates will issue you a pass that is valid for travel within 48 hours without stopover at any other country.

(If you do not have any documents proving your identity, acquaintance of yours can make an affidavit of identity and so you can get a pass)
